Questions

## Common questions, straight answers.

Do I need an AWS account to use PostFrame?

No. Every plan sends through PostFrame's managed pool, which already runs on Amazon SES. Connect your own SES account only when you want to send from your own AWS identity, region or configuration set.

What do I enter to connect SES?

An access key ID, a secret access key and the AWS region, plus an optional configuration set name. PostFrame stores the credentials in its secrets vault and keeps only a vault path in the database.

What happens when this provider returns an error?

The send moves to your next provider by priority on the same request, up to three attempts. After five failures inside five minutes the provider's circuit opens and it is skipped for sixty seconds before being tried again.

Do bounces and complaints from my own SES account reach PostFrame?

Yes. PostFrame verifies the SNS notification signature, classifies the bounce as hard or soft, logs the diagnostic code, and updates your suppression list exactly as it does for the managed pool.
