# We are in beta

EternalEngine is live, in use, and being paid for — and it is also still being built. We would rather tell you that plainly than let you find it out on a Tuesday afternoon. This page is the honest version: what is solid, what is still moving, and what we promise you either way.

## What "beta" means here

It does not mean a toy, and it does not mean a demo. EternalEngine runs real businesses today — real customers, real invoices, real money moving through PayGate. Every service is deployed, monitored, and backed up like production, because for the people using it, it *is* production.

What beta means is that the platform is still growing quickly. Apps ship, interfaces improve, and occasionally something that worked one way last month works better a different way this month. We are transparent about that instead of pretending the software arrived finished.

## What is stable today

- **Your data.** Tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer, not just in application code. Backups run on a schedule and are restore-tested.
- **Authentication and access control.** Sign-in, sessions, roles, and permissions are hardened and audited.
- **Billing and payments.** Subscriptions and payment processing run against live, audited payment infrastructure.
- **The core suite.** CRM, scheduling, estimates, projects, invoicing, and file storage are in daily production use.

## What is still moving

- **Newer apps.** The most recently launched apps get the most frequent changes. They are usable, and they are also where the sharpest edges live.
- **Interfaces and layout.** Screens get refined as we learn how people actually use them. Expect improvement, not upheaval.
- **Integrations.** The integration catalog is expanding. Some connectors are deeper than others.
- **Documentation.** Written continuously, and always slightly behind the software it describes.

## What we promise during beta

- **Your data is yours, and it stays.** Beta is not an excuse for data loss. Backups, restore tests, and export paths are in place today — see [Your Data & Requests](https://eternalengineos.io/data-requests/).
- **No surprise pricing.** The price you sign up at is the price you pay. If pricing changes, existing accounts are told first, in writing.
- **Breaking changes get notice.** If something you rely on has to change, you hear about it before it happens, not after.
- **Real answers from real people.** Beta feedback goes to the people who build the thing, not into a queue.

## What we ask of you

Tell us when something is wrong. A two-line report that a screen behaved strangely is worth more to us than a polite silence — it is genuinely the fastest way this platform gets better.

And keep your own copies of anything business-critical. That is sound practice on any platform, beta or not, and every EternalEngine app supports export.

## When does beta end?

When the platform stops changing faster than the documentation can describe it. We are not going to invent a date to look more finished than we are. When the badge comes off the header, it will be because it stopped being true — and we will say so in the changelog.
